Description

A delicious salad dressing can make a salad. This vinaigrette is thick and heavier on the balsamic, but is absolutely divine on mixed greens with nuts and dried fruit!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 Tbsp. aged balsamic vinegar (18yr)
  • 1 Tbsp. olive oil (organic, extra virgin)
  • 1/2 tsp. dried basil
  • 1/4 tsp. garlic powder
  • pinch of sea salt to taste
  • 23 twists of freshly ground pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Pour the vinegar and olive oil in a glass measuring cup or bowl.
  2. Add the seasonings and whisk well. Taste and add additional salt or pepper, if needed.

Notes

This vinaigrette is delicious over mixed greens with candied or toasted nuts (walnuts or pecans) and dried fruit (cranberries, cherries or figs).
