This smoothie is refreshing, healthy and surprisingly good. It offers a balance of healthy carbs, protein and fats to keep you satisfied and nourished and dazzles your tastes buds!
Ingredients
Scale
- 1/2 banana
- 1/4 avocado
- 1 cup spinach leaves
- 1 cup water
- 2 Tbsp. fresh mint leaves (other options in notes)
- 3–4 ice cubes
Instructions
- Place all ingredients in a high-speed blender or Nutribullet and blend until smooth.
Notes
- Substitute 1/2 tsp. peppermint or spearmint extract or 2 drops of peppermint essential oil (labeled as safe for ingestion) in place of the mint leaves.
- Use 1/2 of an avocado instead of a quarter, if you want to increase the fat content of the smoothie. You may need to add a little extra mint to balance out the flavor of the avocado, to your taste.
