This delicious non-alcoholic cocktail is vibrant, tasty and so easy to make!
I don’t know about you, but I get tired of drinking plain water all day. I like to have something fun to drink that doesn’t need to include alcohol and isn’t full of sugar! This refreshing fruit and citrus drink is one I’m really loving. I can make a batch of the strawberry, grapefruit and ginger base and keep it in my fridge for the week to sip on.
What’s not to love!
What You’ll Need:
- grapefruit
- strawberries
- lime
- ginger
- simple syrup
- water
- ginger beer or sparkling water
Making the Recipe:
I usually start with making the simple syrup. You can do this by mixing together equal parts of water and sugar (honey, maple syrup, agave or organic cane sugar all work). Warm it up in a small saucepan and mix the ingredients together, until they are well blended. Let the mixture cool before using it in your drinks.
Next, wash the fruits you are using. Remove the greens from the strawberries and juice the grapefruit.
Put the grapefruit juice, strawberries, lime juice, some ginger slices and water in a blender or Nutri-bullet and blend well.
Put some ice in a low ball glass. Pour the strawberry grapefruit mixture over ice, leaving a little room for a splash of ginger beer or sparkling water and a garnish.
Enjoy!

Description
This delicious non-alcoholic cocktail is vibrant, tasty and so easy to make!
Ingredients
For the Grapefruit Ginger Rosemary Simple Syrup: (optional, makes more than needed)
- 1/2 cup honey (or agave syrup)
- 1/2 cup water
- 1/4 cup grapefruit juice, freshly squeezed
- 1 sprig rosemary
- 2 slices fresh ginger
- 1/2 Tbsp. grapefruit zest
For the Refresher:
- 1 grapefruit, juiced
- 8 strawberries
- 1/4 tsp. lime juice, freshly squeezed
- 1 Tbsp. simple syrup
- 2 cups water
- Splash of ginger beer for topping (optional)
Instructions
- Make the simple syrup first. Put all of the ingredients in a small saucepan. Bring to a boil, then add the rosemary and simmer for 30 minutes. Let the liquid cool, before using.
- Juice the grapefruit and remove the greens from the strawberries. Place all the ingredients in a Nutri Bullet or blender and puree.
- Pour about 6 oz. of the mixture over ice in a low-ball glass and top with a splash of ginger beer (optional). Garnish with a rosemary sprig or a slice of fresh strawberry.
Notes
- This refresher mixture keeps well in the refrigerator for several days, so you can make a batch of it ahead of time, if you like.
- Adjust the amount of simple syrup to your liking. Use less to keep sugar content lower.
- Leftover simple syrup can be stored in the refrigerator.
- You can make an easier simple syrup with just equal parts water and honey if you like or buy one, if you don’t want to take the time to make it.
