This flavorful vinaigrette is vibrant, easy to make and so tasty. It is delicious with shrimp or chicken on a salad or in a grain bowl.
This dressing was inspired by a salad I had while visiting my Aunt in Florida. The salad was bursting with flavor and I was so impressed with how well it complemented the other ingredients. I set out to create my own version of it and am loving it!
What You’ll Need:
- lemons, oranges
- garlic
- honey
- olive oil
- Dijon mustard
- salt and pepper
Making the Recipe:
Making your own dressings doesn’t have to be complicated or take that much time.
To make this citrus based vinaigrette, start by squeezing the fresh juice. Trust me, it’s worth the extra minute it takes in freshness. Add the juice to a small bowl or a glass measuring cup.
Next, go ahead and mince the garlic.
Then, add the minced garlic, honey, oil, mustard and seasonings to the fruit juices.
Whisk well and enjoy! Yes, it’s that easy. I’ve used this vinaigrette in salads and to marinate proteins before cooking them.
