Homemade Guacamole

This homemade guacamole is easy to make and and is perfect as an appetizer, topping for tacos or anywhere else you love this perfect little side.

What You’ll Need:

  • avocado
  • lime
  • red onion
  • garlic
  • cilantro
  • sea salt

Making the Recipe:

Start by cutting the avocados in half lengthwise and removing the pit. Place the avocados in a bowl and mash them with a fork until creamy.

Add the salt, and lime juice to the avocado and mix it well.

Dice the onion finely and mince the garlic and cilantro. Add the onion and garlic to the bowl, along with the cilantro. Once all of the ingredients are mixed in, taste the guacamole. Add a little more of an ingredient, if you think it needs it.

Enjoy with tortilla chips or as a topping to some chicken taco soup, tacos, enchiladas or another dish you love.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 avocado, mashed
  • 2 tsp. lime juice, freshly squeezed
  • 1/4 tsp. sea salt
  • 3 Tbsp. red onion, finely diced
  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • 3 Tbsp. cilantro, minced

Instructions

  1. Mash the avocado in a serving bowl.
  2. Add the salt and freshly squeezed lime juice. Mix well.
  3. Mince the onion, garlic and cilantro and stir them into the guacamole.
  4. Taste and add additional ingredients, if needed.
  5. Serve with tortilla chips, on top of some chicken taco soup, tacos, enchiladas or another favorite dish.

Notes

  • Diced tomato, diced bacon or both can be added to this guacamole recipe.
  • Add some finely diced serrano chilies, if you like your guacamole spicier.
