Chimichurri Sauce

This chimichurri sauce is made with fresh herbs and is so versatile. It is delicious on steak, chicken, seared tuna or grilled vegetables.

Flavor in a dish is so important to me. Using fresh herbs is a great way to do that. I particularly love sauces like this one, because they can be used many different ways.

This sauce takes very little time to make and tastes amazing!

What You’ll Need:

fresh herbs, red onion, garlic, olive oil, red wine vinegar and sea salt
freshly squeezed lime juice

Making the Recipe:

First, mince the red onion.

Next, add your fresh herbs and all of the other ingredients but the olive oil to a food processor.

Next, blend the ingredients together slowly, adding the olive oil to the mixture as you blend it.

That’s it! Simple and delicious!

Description

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup flat leaf parsley
  • 3/4 cup cilantro
  • 3/4 cup basil
  • 1/2 cup baby spinach
  • 3 Tbsp. lime juice, freshly squeezed
  • 2 Tbsp. red wine vinegar
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 1/4 cup red onion, diced
  • 1 tsp. sea salt
  • 6 Tbsp. olive oil (extra virgin, organic and cold pressed)

Instructions

  • In a blender or food processor, add all of the ingredients but the olive oil.
  • Blend together, slowly adding the olive oil. Blend until smooth.

Notes

This is a great sauce for steak (tenderloin filet, NY strip, sirloin or flank steak), chicken, seared tuna, salmon or grilled vegetables.

You can blend in some avocado if you want to make this a bit creamier.
