Mango Salsa

Mango Salsa in clear bowl on gray cloth.

This delicious fruit based salsa is perfect on it’s own, in tacos or with pork carnitas.

This salsa is one of my favorite go to recipes as a topping for carnitas or tacos. It’s easy to make and adds some nice acidity to a dish that packs a flavorful punch!

What You’ll Need:

  • mango
  • red onion
  • cilantro
  • lime
  • sea salt
  • avocado (optional)

Making the Recipe:

Peel the mango with a paring knife. Use the tip of your knife to locate the pit in the mango. Slice the fruit off the pit on all four sides and dice the mango into bite sized pieces. Add them to a bowl.

Dice the onion and chop the cilantro and add them to the bowl with the mango.

Squeeze the lime juice over the mixture and add a pinch of salt to taste. Stir it all together and store the salsa in the refrigerator until you are ready to serve it.

Add the diced avocado to the salsa and fold it in gently just before serving (optional).
